50x50 Travels started with an overheard conversation. My husband and I were on a trip when we heard a group talking about their “50 under 50” goal — and in the same breath dismissing whole states. West Virginia got the worst of it: “Why would anyone go there?”
My husband is from West Virginia. We were married there, on a mountaintop overlooking the New River Gorge Bridge. Right then we decided to do our own 50 by 50, and to show the beauty and value of every single state along the way.
I reached my 50th state, Hawaii, on my 50th birthday. My husband finished this year with Wisconsin. Every state has something amazing to offer — and everything we make is built to encourage you to discover, appreciate, explore, and remember where you’ve been. Then you can decide where you’re going.
